CLI & MCP (preview)
Use Alloy from your terminal and from AI editors like Cursor, Claude Code and Windsurf. This page describes the planned design; it is not available yet.
Alloy CLI
npm install -g @alloy/cli # planned
alloy login
alloy clone <project> # clone the linked repo, or download the project
alloy pull # bring the latest Alloy version into your folder
alloy prompt "Add a FAQ" # run a prompt; opens a new version + PR
alloy push # send local changes back (import)MCP server
The Alloy MCP server exposes your projects as tools any MCP client can call:
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
list_projects | Your projects with their linked repositories |
get_project | Files, versions and preview URL |
prompt | Run a revision and wait for the new version |
clone | Clone the project into the current workspace automatically |
import | Import local changes back into Alloy |
